The name Sundog Counselling and Therapy Services was inspired by a natural phenomenon that has been a familiar sight throughout my life in Manitoba. A sundog is a bright spot of light that appears alongside the sun. In some cultural traditions, it has been understood as a companion to the sun, travelling alongside it through the sky. I have always seen sundogs as a beautiful symbol of hope. They are a reminder that light and possibility can exist even during difficult times. This idea is central to my approach to counselling, as I walk alongside clients through challenging seasons and create space for healing, growth, and hope.
